Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (12ml)

I don’t wear makeup just a brow pencil and lipstick n mostly gloss n pout. I love the way eyelash extensions look on me but I don’t get it done often. So I decided to try mascara and saw Essence mascaras then googled beginner mascara. Welll when I saw amazing mascara I am pleased. I will eventually try more colonizing but for now I like the effect it gives. It’s dramatic and gives me length.

First I want to start with the packaging, I really like the rubber detailing at the top, it makes it very easy to open and I also like that the product is vegan. I am someone who has short and straight lashes, what I look for in a mascara is a product that lengthens, separates and adds volume. This mascara goes above and beyond when it comes to volume. If volume is what you're after, definitely give this mascara a try.

I love so many of Essence products, but this mascara is the worst mascara I have ever used. I am shocked there are all these good reviews. I tried to apply it differently and tried very hard to like it, but not only it smudges within the first hour of wear or so (I have NEVER had ANY mascara smudge on me), but it flakes like crazy too- leaves me with black flecks all over my face (and I'm not exaggerating- forehead, lips, chin). I don't even understand how this is possible. On top of that, it is very hard to remove- takes a lot of eye makeup remover and rubbing- I don't like to rub my eyes. Gave up trying to make it work after 3 days of really bad eye makeup.

I'm fortunate to have naturally full, long, curly eyelashes. So, I only need to apply a little bit of mascara. This product was a bit disappointing. Although it applied smoothly and didn't clump, even a light layer weighed heavily on my lashes and made them lose their curl by the end of the day. I'll continue to use this mascara, but I won't re-purchase it. Also, it won't be the mascara I choose as an all-day mascara. I'll probably reserve it for evening when I only plan on making up my face for a few hours wear. On a more positive note, I really love the cute packaging. The cap has rubber grippers on it that help when your fingers are wet or slippery with makeup.

I have told my sister's back in New York, I have told all my friends and coworkers here in Cali. I get so many compliments and I end up tell them where to purchase it from as well.
